Accreditation
Artz Academy offers the new 'Arts Award', a Nationally Recognised qualification from Trinity College, London. We are committed to youth arts development and creative opportunities for young people. We seek to apply the principles of effective youth work to up-to-the-minute interests and needs of young people via programmes that offer accredited learning outcomes, directing individuals to training, employment or apprenticeships.
What is an Arts Award equivalent to?
The Arts Award is on the National Qualifications Framework and is accredited by QCA (Qualifications Curriculum Authority)
The Arts Award compares to other qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework as follows:
- Level 1 - working at the standard of GCSE D-G
- Level 2 - working at the standard of GCSE A*-C
- Level 3 - working at the standard of A' level
This does not mean that an Arts Award is equal in size to a GCSE or A' level but it does mean that you will be working at and will be assessed at that standard.
Trinity College London is the awarding body for the Arts Award and they work in close partnership with Arts Council England.
The Arts Award is on the Learning Aims Database.
UCAS points - The Gold Arts Award will in the future be offering UCAS points, check this site or the arts award website for further details.
